When I read this I’m reminded of a friend studying at Cambridge who has a year to figure out the question for her PhD, let alone the answer. We don’t tend to go deep into things anymore, and that’s a bad thing – there is a great reference in there to the 10 years or 10,000 hours to mastery stuff too, but I’m going to save that for a real post soon.
